Rodrigo Afanador
Asheville Cash Buyers’ founder Rodrigo Afanador is a passionate business owner and committed community volunteer. With several years of real estate experience and a proven track record, he’s been part of 300+ real estate transactions in the Asheville, NC, area. He enjoys the challenge of resolving complex financial situations for his clients. Currently, Rodrigo is the co-founder and host of AVLMeetup, the fastest-growing real estate group in WNC. He is a past President of the Carolina Real Estate Investors Association (CREIA), a non-profit education group for real estate investors. Rodrigo was also the host and co-founder of Asheville Real Estate News, the only real estate-specific media outlet in the Asheville area.
When he’s not working, you will find Rodrigo exploring trails in WNC on his mountain bike or running. Rodrigo is also a graduate of Prosago, a specialized program that teaches leadership to young people using an experiential model combining adventure and community as primary teaching tools.
Rodrigo Afanador was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, and currently resides in Asheville. He is an avid traveler who has visited over twenty countries and 35 states. Throughout his life, he has worked as a tutor, server, raft guide, legal assistant, and line cook—all of these positions have helped him gain perspective and hone his business acumen. He is grateful for past opportunities and hopes for more moments to pay them forward in business and through his work with non-profit organizations focused on leadership training and development.
Carolina Cole
Carolina is head of communications for Asheville Cash Buyers. Since joining the team in 2019, she has worked to ensure our clients have seamless transactions from start to finish. Her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond make her a truly valuable member of the Asheville Cash Buyers team.
Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Carolina attended Universidad de la Sabana and earned her Juris doctor degree. While practicing corporate and insurance law, she met her husband, David, and moved to the Western North Carolina area. Instead of focusing on companies and legal entities, Carolina loves that she can now serve individuals and treat them as a face instead of a number. At Asheville Cash Buyers, she focuses on getting to know each client’s unique situation, tailoring her approach to solve problems and provide resources.
Carolina enjoys kayaking, hiking, traveling, and getting to know different cultures and traditions. One of her favorite things is driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway and finding a new trail or area to explore with David. The Coles also have a coffee roasting business, Blue Squatch Roasting Company, specializing in Colombian coffee beans.
In 2020, Carolina and David welcomed their daughter Elena and are excited to raise her in such a beautiful part of the world.
